Sofi Filtration shortlisted for two Mining Magazine Awards 2026
We have been shortlisted in two categories at the Mining Magazine Awards 2026, earning recognition for both technological innovation and leadership. The company is a finalist for the Mineral Processing Excellence Award, while CEO Riina Salmimies has been shortlisted for the Women of the Year Award. The winners will be announced on 7 September 2026.
"What technologies and equipment, and which people, are leading the mining industry this year?" This is the question Mining Magazine seeks to answer through its annual awards. The shortlist, announced on 22 June, recognizes outstanding achievements across the mining industry. Sofi Filtration's dual nomination highlights both the company's innovative filtration technology and the leadership of its CEO.
This year, the judging panel, chaired by Mining Magazine Editor Beth McLoughlin, selected the finalists from more than 100 entries across 13 categories. The panel included Professor Ismet Canbulat, Dr Kate Thornton, Kim Morrison, and Paul Freeman.
"The quality of entries this year was exceptionally high in many categories. We were looking for evidence-based innovation and achievement in mining, and we found plenty of it," said Beth McLoughlin, Editor of Mining Magazine and Chair of the judging panel.
