University - Industry collaboration to optimise water consumption in the steel industry

Steel is a vital commodity for industrialization and economic growth. The resource-efficient alloy is facing several challenges such as increasing global water demand-supply gap, process complexity, and stringent environmental regulations. With the increasing water supply-demand gap and changing environmental regulations, it has become critical to exploit innovative methods and solutions to combat water usage in steel production processes and reclaim wastewater effectively for reuse purposes.
