Solution: A test was carried out in Sofi’s R&D facility in Espoo, Finland to assess the Sofi Filter’s performance in recovering very fine solid particles from ore concentrate water sample collected from a Nickel mine. Trial test was performed using Sofi SF200 with 1 μm screen. The filtrate and concentrate produced during the test are directed back to the feed tank for minimizing water usage during the process.
Result: In the lab trials, the Sofi's self-cleaning features maintained a flow rate of 9 m3/m2/hr throughout 30-minute wash cycle. The finding shows that Sofi automated plug and play SF200 unit was able to remove 82.2% of solids.
