Sofi Filtration is looking for Field Service Trainees.
Sofi Filtration is a Finnish technology start-up developing modern filtration solutions for industry. We supply our products primarily to Europe. Our business builds on our patented technology and the development of that technology to serve our partners and customers in dealing with ever-more complex filtration challenges. We are in the business of clean water and are doing our job one plant at a time.
Our office is located in Espoo (Tillinmäentie 3) with good public transport connections and along a major highway. The area has multiple eateries. To help you work effectively, our office has electric standing desks, the necessary IT and phonebooths for online meetings.
We are now looking for Field Service Trainees to join our team to perform field piloting work and other service work for our customers. We are looking for trainees, who with the successful completion of our field service trainee program can join us as junior field service engineers. We offer a career path towards becoming an application engineer or a product specialist.
The field service trainee program is designed for completion within 3 months. During this time, you will go through a number of training activities designed to help you learn skills required to successfully perform field pilots. The work involves hands-on operation of our Sofi Filter®, keeping records during field piloting and reporting on the activities and interacting with customers. Our next field service trainee program starts August 14, 2023.
The work involves travelling within Finland and internationally as all our field pilots are done at customer sites.
A good candidate for the position:
Holds a degree in a relevant field for the position, e.g. a bachelor’s or a master’s degree in chemical, process or environmental engineering, or relevant vocational qualifications.
Has good professional communication skills either in Finnish or in English, or both. Finnish is highly valued as we have a lot of partners and clients in our domestic market. In case you are just beginning your Finnish/English language journey, we can try to find ways to support the development of your skills should you otherwise be an ideal candidate.
Uses typical office software with ease. The use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams are a requirement for our working environment.
Shows initiative, has a can-do attitude and has good collaboration skills. Flexibility and goal-orientation in addressing everyday tasks are a requirement for performing well in this position.
Employment relationship, pay and benefits
The field service trainee program is based on a 3-month fixed term employment relationship to complete the program. The monthly salary of the trainee will be 2000 euros. Holidays are earned according to the Annual Holidays Act and holiday pay follows the collective agreement for senior salaried employees in technology industries. We also offer our employees occupational healthcare services, the possibility to work remotely part-time, and a chance to be part of efforts towards cleaner waters on the planet.
If the trainee program is completed successfully and the candidate positively evaluated, an offer of becoming a junior field service engineer will be made to the candidate. The monthly salary of the junior field service engineer is 3000 euros.
