Self-Cleaning Filter to Optimize District Cooling System in Finland
We are happy to announce the delivery of Sofi Prima, an advanced solid removal system for Finnish energy giant’s district cooling network.
The goal is to provide the customer and improved system efficiency and savings in operational and maintenance costs by introducing the Prima solution – the world’s first ultra-sound self-cleaning filtration technology.
Prima represents a breakthrough in industrial filtration. Designed to capture ultra-fine particles at low concentrations, it protects process water from contamination, reduces maintenance needs, and prevents costly structural damage. Unlike conventional solutions,
Prima operates without chemicals or disposable filters, offers energy-efficient performance, and runs independently.
Built from high-grade stainless steel, Sofi Prima helps industrial operators maintain clean, efficient, and resilient operations—while significantly cutting operational costs and water usage.
The deal follows a successful pilot project conducted in June 2024, during which a similar filter unit was tested. The trial demonstrated the effectiveness of our automated filtration technology in removing suspended solids, thereby improving the overall efficiency and longevity of the system.
“We’re proud to see that sustainable and high-performance solutions find their way to support the growing demand for urban energy infrastructure . This is our first delivery to district cooling sector which is exciting new step for the company”, said Riina Salmimies, CEO of Sofi Filtration.
