Sofi Filtration wins Mining Magazine Award for Mineral Processing Excellence

We have been named the winner of the Mineral Processing Excellence Award (Vendor) at the Mining Magazine Awards 2026, recognising the company’s innovative approach to recovering valuable fine particles from mining process water.

The award recognises Sofi Filtration’s Alchemist self-cleaning filtration technology, which was selected from a strong field of mineral processing innovations.

Alchemist is designed to recover ultrafine concentrate particles that can otherwise be lost with process water, while enabling water reuse. At Endomines’ Pampalo gold mine in Finland, the technology achieved recovery rates of up to 99% of valuable fine concentrate during plant trials. Sofi has since delivered the first full-scale Alchemist system to Pampalo under a recovery-as-a-service model.

For the Sofi Filtration team, the recognition marks another milestone in bringing new filtration technology into practical mining applications.
